Highland Creek

The work that happens close to home, alongside Lora: food drives that feed neighbours, and a historic village kept standing for the next generation.

Close to home

The work in Highland Creek is a two-person effort. Bill and Lora put the same care into the neighbourhood that the freight work asked for: show up, and follow through.

Food drives

Filling shelves for neighbours who need them.

Feeding people is the most direct kind of help there is. The food drives run out of Highland Creek turn a strong network into full pantries for families in the community.

Highland Creek Village

Keeping a piece of history standing.

Some of the community work is about the future; some is about not losing the past. The restoration of the historic village keeps a piece of Highland Creek’s history intact for the people who come next.

Why it matters

The point was never only the freight. It was being able to look after the people, and the place, you come from.
