Veritas Distribution

Where it started. A third-party logistics company providing less-than-truckload distribution across Western Canada, founded on May 1, 1989 with partner Nolly Kramer. It began as a two-man operation with one straight truck, one dock door, 6,000 to 7,000 square feet of warehouse and 700 square feet of office. It grew into a larger building in Mississauga with five employees, 10,000 square feet of warehouse and 1,200 square feet of office, and then, as more accounts came on, into a boxcar facility on Nugget Avenue in Scarborough, shared with Torman Distribution. The habits set here, doing what was promised, moving what was trusted, carried into everything that followed.

National Fast Freight

Founder · 1991

As the business grew, Veritas Distribution merged into a new company, National Fast Freight, started in late 1991 and incorporated in January 1992. Less-than-truckload and intermodal freight, with CP Rail as the linehaul provider loading boxcars bound for Western Canada. As it grew it attracted Rob Donaghey, Richard Muir and Ray Ash, all seasoned professionals in domestic transportation. The company that turned a distribution business into a national operation.

Fast Freight International

Co-Founder · 2005

Back to third-party logistics. Incorporated in 2005, after Bill sold his shares in National Fast Freight, he and Ray Ash built Fast Freight International with a sales agreement to keep serving existing National Fast Freight accounts while adding new clients to the base of business.
